About me

Hi I’m Nicky of Nicky Kay Designs, a left handed pattern designer living in the Cotswolds.

I discovered Surface Pattern Design in 2021 after completing a design summer school’. Since then I have continued learning and completed many courses.

A few years ago I started designing nature inspired patterns for notebooks. I create patterns for each season using small details to create flowers, woodland and fruit motifs. Spring awakens with flowers emerging, summer gardens burst with colourful flowers in vivid colours. Autumn offers bright orange pumpkins and woodland toadstools, while winter reveals scarlet berries and delicate snowdrops.
